The Bharat Journey was founded in 2018 by Arjun Sharma, a Varanasi native who grew up watching thousands of pilgrims struggle to navigate India's complex spiritual landscape. As a child he sat on the ghats watching tourists arrive confused, overwhelmed, and often cheated — and he dreamed of creating an experience that honoured both the traveller and the sacred land.
What began as a small ghat-side tour operation with two boats and a notebook of handwritten contacts has grown into a team of 50+ passionate travel professionals, local experts, spiritual guides, and adventure specialists — united by one mission: to show the world the true soul of Bharat.
